Rekindling the “Spirit”

For nearly three decades, The Spirit of Sharing has served families across Barrow County through compassion-driven outreach, food assistance, and community support programs. Now, the nonprofit is entering a new chapter — one designed to expand its long-term impact for children and families across the region.
Remarkable Media recently partnered with the organization’s Board of Directors on a comprehensive rebranding and strategic communications initiative focused on clarifying the nonprofit’s mission, modernizing its public identity, and preparing for the launch of a transformative new program: Spirit Academy Preschool.
The collaborative project included a full organizational messaging refresh, brand repositioning strategy, visual identity redesign, and website redevelopment aimed at helping the nonprofit communicate more clearly with donors, volunteers, families, and community partners.
“Nonprofits often evolve over time, and their communication strategy has to evolve with them,” said Katie Strickland, Creative Director of Remarkable Media. “The Spirit of Sharing already had a strong foundation of community trust and service. Our role was helping refine the story, strengthen the brand, and create a communications platform that reflects where the organization is headed next.”
As part of the initiative, Remarkable Media facilitated strategic conversations with board leadership to help redefine the organization’s mission and future vision. The process focused on creating messaging that better connected the nonprofit’s longstanding community outreach efforts with its growing investment in childhood development and educational support.
One of the most visible changes from the rebrand is the launch of a refreshed logo and updated visual identity system designed to feel more modern, hopeful, and community-centered while honoring the organization’s history and legacy of service.
The organization’s website was also completely revamped to improve accessibility, storytelling, online engagement, and program visibility. The new digital experience provides clearer pathways for volunteer recruitment, donor support, program registration, and community communication.
The rebranding effort culminates with the official launch of Spirit Academy Preschool, a new early childhood education initiative scheduled to open in Fall 2026.
Spirit Academy Preschool will focus on creating a nurturing learning environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive through educational support, mentorship, and community connection. The program represents a significant expansion of The Spirit of Sharing’s mission and reflects the organization’s commitment to investing in the future of local families.
The launch positions The Spirit of Sharing not only as a provider of immediate community assistance, but also as a long-term partner in childhood development and family empowerment throughout the Winder-Barrow area.
Through the partnership, Remarkable Media developed integrated communications assets to support the rollout of the new brand and preschool initiative, including website content, social media campaigns, press materials, marketing collateral, and strategic messaging frameworks designed to sustain awareness leading into the Fall 2026 launch.
The project reflects a growing trend among nonprofits seeking to align mission, messaging, and digital presence to better serve modern audiences while strengthening organizational sustainability.
